Chiquita Canyon Joins the 'Make a Difference Day' Annual Challenge

Santa Clarita, Saturday, October 23, 2004 - Chiquita Canyon joined the Santa Clarita Valley Resource Center, the City of Santa Clarita and 20 local non-profits, in sponsoring "Make A Difference Day" on October 23, 2004, designated as the national day of volunteerism. This community service event benefits Santa Clarita Valley organizations such as the SCV Family YMCA, Newhall Elementary School and the Boys & Girls Club.

The day includes hands-on projects such as repairing and painting the offices of the Domestic Violence Center, erosion control at the Placerita Nature Center which was recently affected by a major wildfire and cleaning pr
