Santa Clarita, January 22, 2008 - The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce awarded Chiquita Canyon with the Large Business of the Year Award at its Annual Installation Dinner.

The Chamber recognized Chiquita Canyon for its continued support of numerous Santa Clarita Valley organizations. The ceremony was held at the Hyatt Valencia on Friday, January 18, 2008.

"On behalf of Chiquita Canyon, I want to thank the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce for the Large Business of the Year Award," said Mike Dean, General Manager for Chiquita Canyon. "We value our membership in the Chamber and we are proud to participate in programs that improve Santa Clarita Valley community."

Chiquita Canyon's title sponsorship of the 2007 Samuel Dixon Family Health Center's Annual Rubber Ducky Regatta enabled the health center to move the event to Castaic Lake Recreation Area, where it became a community-wide event for the first time in its five-year history.

Chiquita Canyon was a sponsor of the 2007 Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Business Committee's annual Excelencia Awards. Chiquita Canyon has been a sponsor every year since its inception.

In the past five years, Chiquita Canyon has contributed more than $1.5 million to fund various community programs and events in Santa Clarita, Val Verde and Castaic.
